Tom Riddle &
Ginny
Reasoning: Creativity, craziness, genius. Secrets
and magic, dreams and nightmares. The moon is the underbelly of darkness, and
of being tricked or led astray. Poor Ginny is lost in the brilliant deception
of a creative, yet rather insane, genius: Tom Riddle.
In a traditional tarot deck, this is The Moon.
Notes
While
I was fond of the old version of this card for the most part, something about
Tom's hands really bugged me. So for awhile I attempted to keep this card similar,
but just 'fix' his hands. He refused to cooperate. So I experimented with other
ways to have them pose and kept getting stumped over and over and over again.
FINALLY I got the final version, which I decided I liked.
The only unfortunate thing that happened with the final colored one is that
in the sketch, you see all of Ginny's legs/feet and the smoke around them. But
that made the detail a lot smaller than I wanted it to be for the size I had
to work with. So I tried to make it look like the smoke came up around her knees
instead of ankles, and just cut off the bottom of her legs and feet, but now
it looks a little weird and ill-proportioned instead. Argh.
