10 of Ravenclaw

The Malfoy Family
Reasoning: Basically, this is the card of wealth and sticking to convention. Material affluence and traditional conservatism. You've got it good, so don't rock the boat! The Malfoy family is disgustingly rich and refuse to change their views with the changing world (when it comes to Muggle acceptance, or even non-pureblood magical people).

In a traditional tarot deck, this is the Ten (10) of Pentacles.

Notes
This card was lots of fun, and fits the tarot meaning perfectly. I drew a background nearly identical to the background I used when I had Lucius as the 'emperor' card (which has now been changed). I just like doing the marble, and think it fits the Malfoys well: luxurious and cold. This card all started with a rough sketch of Narcissa which I liked so much it made me randomly finish this card without planning it.
Much as I hate the Malfoys as characters, they sure are fun to draw. Their clothing was great fun to design, and Lucius underwent some major changes from 17th century type clothing to more traditional (in my mind's eye) wizard robes.
I think the only thing about this card that displeases me is the way Draco is just a bit off.... he's sort of leaning funnily. But other than that, I love this one. :B

Please do not reproduce these cards on your website or print them for your own distribution and profit! This is my pet project, and I would like to keep it on this site only, please. You are, however, VERY welcome to link to this page! Thank you!
