My
name is Laura, I'm 26 years old, and I've been drawing my whole life - I grew
up in western Washington state, USA, and basically spent my childhood either
drawing or up a tree somewhere. I'm mostly self-taught, though I've taken the odd art class from time to time through high school and my brief forays into college. I have done illustrations for "The Lutheran" magazine, and am interested in other professional illustration work. Please contact me if you're interested in hiring me!
I recently left an unsatisfying life in office work to pursue a life in animals and arts, and have spent the last year and a half as an agricultural intern with Heifer Project International at their educational facility in California during 2006/2007 and working on a couple different goat dairies. I plan to increase my knowledge of sustainable, organic and humane farming and living, possibly leading to homesteading and/or working to improve the lives of farm animals and supporting small farmers… not sure what yet! I love all animals, but I'm especially fond of goats and am working to become an expert on them.
I ask that you DO NOT repost my artwork on another site without contacting and asking me first. DO NOT sell my art for ANY amount of money. You MAY get a tattoo of my art (I love when people do that!!), and would appreciate it if you would send me a photo of the final piece! You MAY save my art to your computer to use as a desktop/for your own enjoyment.
