 The
'black sheep' of the Hogwarts family, Slytherins are given a bad rap
for their ambition and cunning. This reputation is not entirely undeserved, since there doesn't seem to be a witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin. However, this does not make all Slytherins evil by default. Hopefully Harry will later have some interactions with some 'good' Slytherins, to prove this. Although one would hope Harry doesn't harbor that strong of prejudice towards the house of the serpent; after all, the Sorting Hat did want to place Harry in Slytherin. Moody, and possessing great internal strength which can be used for good or evil, Slytherin reminds me of the water signs.

Millicent Bulstrode:
A large, black-haired, intimidating girl. Hermione had to partner with her for the dueling club, and ended up in a headlock. Millicent owns a black cat, whose hair Hermione mistakenly used for the Polyjuice Potion. Joined the Inquisitorial Squad when Umbridge took over Hogwarts.

Vincent Crabbe:
One of Draco Malfoy's big stupid cronies, Vincent has a pudding-bowl haircut and long, apelike arms. He likes eating, and was part of the Inquisitorial Squad during his 5th year. His father was outed as a Death Eater at the end of 5th year. |

Marcus Flint:
The Slytherin captain and seeker, who looks like he's part troll. He's fond of cheating to ensure Slytherin's victory, and in the movie was portrayed with very bad teeth.

Gregory Goyle:
Another of Draco Malfoy's henchmen, Gregory is large and stupid, with bristly hair that comes down onto his forehead. He also likes to eat, and was also part of the Inquisitorial Squad. His father was outed as a Death Eater at the end of 5th year. |

Pansy Parkinson:
Pansy is the leader of a gang of Slytherin girls, and seems to be after Draco Malfoy - she attended the Yule Ball with him and dotes over him when he's "injured" by Buckbeak. She is a snobby and mean girl with a hard, pug-like face. She has a shrieking laugh, and joined the Inquisitorial Squad in her 5th year.
