 Honest, true, and hardworking, Hufflepuffs have been, rather unjustly, stereotyped as the "duffers" of Hogwarts. Just because they do things the honest way rather than cheating or being flamboyant or goody-two-shoes...*cough*
I take offense at the idea of Hufflepuff's being duffers, because astrologically they make me think of Earth signs (steady, patient, stubborn), and I'm a Taurus. Duffers, indeed. Grrr....

Hannah Abbot:
A pink-faced, blonde girl with pigtails. Was doubtful that Harry was behind all of the attacks in their second year, and later became very supportive of Harry, and joined Dumbledore's Army. She was made a prefect in her 5th year, and had several panic-attacks preparing for her OWLS. One spectacular panic attack during her transfiguration exam involved her accidentally turning her ferret into a whole flock of flamingos. |

Susan Bones:
Hufflepuff girl in the same year as Harry. Her grandparents were killed by Deatheaters, and her Aunt serves on the Wizenmagotz and her uncle Edgar Bones was an Order Member killed by Death Eaters. She joined Dumbledore's Army in her 5th year. In the first two films was played by the director's daughter, but in actuality she has a long dark plait of hair. |

Justin Finch-Fletchley:
Curly-haired boy. Became angry with Harry Potter after he thought Harry was telling a snake to attack him, when in reality, Harry was calling the snake off. Shortly thereafter, Justin was petrified by the Basilisk, furthering student's fears that Harry was heir to Slytherin. Like all the Hufflepuffs, Justin apologized when he found the truth.
He now follows Harry in Dumbledore's Army. |

Ernie Macmillan:
A stout, and occasisonally pompous boy, he helped spread fear of Harry Potter among his fellow students, especially Hufflepuffs when it was suspected Harry was causing the Basilisk attacks. Later Ernie apologized to Harry when he learned Harry wasn't the heir to Slytherin.
Ernie joined Dumbledore's Army and was made a prefect in his 5th year, and was extremely irritating during the OWL exams. |
