DRACO MALFOY
A
pale boy with a pointed face and white-blonde hair, Draco comes
from a long line of wealthy "pureblood" Slytherin wizards,
including a great deal of Death Eaters. He is, ironically, the
first wizard Harry meets, but Harry realizes right away what a
nasty little git Draco is. Possessing a knack for insults, two
huge henchmen, and Snape's favor, as well as a highly wealthy
and influential father, Draco is quite the celebrity among most
Slytherins.
Draco is under enormous pressure to live up to the family expectations,
and is punished or humiliated severely for performing beneath
"pureblood" standards (such as when "mudblood"
Hermione makes better grades than he...and I don't imagine he
even told his father about that unfortunate ferret incident...snicker,
snicker..). To make matters worse, when his father is imprisoned,
Draco is ordered by Voldemort himself to facilitate a Death Eater
invasion of Hogwarts and to murder Albus Dumbledore - or else
Voldemort threatened to kill Draco and his family.
While Draco succeeded in setting the trap for Dumbledore, when
it came time to issue the curse he faltered, clearly afraid and
confused. Dumbledore urged Draco to let the side of good 'save'
him, but before a choice could be made, Dumbledore was murdered
by another and Draco was whisked away with the Death Eaters.
We do not currently know the status of Draco Malfoy and his family.

families are much better than others, Potter. You don't want
to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there."
