CHO CHANG

Cho Chang is an "extremely pretty" Ravenclaw girl a year ahead of Harry Potter. She is the seeker on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, and is the first girl Harry gets a crush on. Unfortunately for Harry, Cho's heart was already pursued and won by handsome, Hufflepuff prefect and champion Cedric Diggory, with whom she attended the Yule Ball. When Cedric was killed by Voldemort during the Triwizard Tournament, Cho was flung into mourning.
Oddly enough, instead of resenting or blaming Harry for Cedric's untimely demise, she began to cling to Harry. She supported his D.A. efforts, and they went out a couple of times; it was she who gave Harry his first kiss.
Cho is sadly still extremely upset and confused about Cedric, and she began asking Harry about Cedic's death and suffering frequent emotional and jealous outbursts. This wasn't what Harry had in mind. Despite attempts by Hermione to smooth things over and 'translate' for Harry, he and Cho's barely-formed relationship dissolved.
While not on exactly friendly terms anymore, some of the animosity between them seems to be shrinking due to the larger, looming threat of Voldemort's return.

Cho & Cedric at the Yule Ball Cho Chang, Ravenclaw Seeker Harry and Cho's miserable first date simple portrait of Cho Chang The Second Task

"Their Seeker, Cho Chang, was the only girl on their team. She was shorter than Harry by about a head, and Harry couldn't help noticing, nervous as he was, that she was extremely pretty. She smiled at Harry as the teams faced each other behind their captains, and he felt a slight lurch in the region of his stomach that he didn't think had anything to do with nerves."
