CEDRIC DIGGORY
Cedric
Diggory was an extremely handsome young man with gray eyes, dark
hair, and a straight nose. He was a seeker and Quidditch captain,
prefect, and Triwizard hero. Extremely polite, kind and fair,
Cedric was consequently quite popular (especially for a Hufflepuff!).
He struggled with the pride his father felt towards him, which
was so evident that it caused Cedric a good deal of embarrassment.
It is obvious that Cedric was the pride and joy of the Diggory
family, though I doubt this is the reason he behaved as well as
he did. Cedric was the absolute personification of all things
good and decent.
Poor Cedric will always remain somewhat of an unknown to us; right
when he was getting interesting he was mercilessly slaughtered
by Peter Pettigrew under Voldemort's instruction. He was practically
perfect in every way, and the only people who spoke badly of him
were those jealous of his looks, talent, or girlfriend. :) This
is probably why he was killed. Perfect things cannot exist, and
when their lives are taken in an unjust way, the outrage and grief
felt by all is overwhelming. So overwhelming that the victim becomes
legendary.
So, our beloved Hufflepuff with forever be known as the first
innocent to fall at the resurrection of the Dark Lord, and whose
death will be the first cause for outrage that will spark good
towards victory.

"Cedric was
serious. He was walking away from the sort of glory Hufflepuff
House hadn't had in centuries.
'Go on,' Cedric said. He looked as though this was costing him
every ounce of resolution he had, but his face was set, his
arms were folded, he seemed decided."
