BILL WEASLEY
Bill
Weasley is the eldest of Ron's five brothers. Tall, lean, and
sporting a ponytail and fang earring, Bill is the epitome of cool.
Harry thought that he would have fit in at a rock concert, in
his dragonhide boots. He works at Gringotts Wizard Bank; it is
said he is a "curse breaker" and is active in
the Order of the Phoenix.
It has been stated that Bill is one of the coolest minor characters
in the series. Indeed, even apart from his nifty sense of style,
he seems like a great guy. It takes some guts (at least for me)
to stand up lovingly to your mother when she continually disapproves
of your hair and manner of dress, and it seems like Bill has mastered
that skill. He is also a funny guy and loving brother, as evidenced
by his goofing around with Charlie and the twins, and his support
of Harry during the Triwizard Tournament.
Bill and Fleur DeLacour became close, and within the course of
a year were engaged to be married. It would be easy to dismiss
Bill's choice as having shallow motivations, but it is very possible
that Bill saw something a bit deeper in Fleur: Bill was horribly
maimed by a particularly malicious non-transformed werewolf. While
it seems his formerly good-looks will suffer, his personality
remains unchanged and he has not lost the affection of his wife-to-be.
If anything, her pride in him has only increased.

"Bill's
table caught Charlie's with a huge bang and knocked one of its
legs off. There was a clatter from overhead, and they all looked
up to see Percy's head poking out of a window on the second
floor.
'Will you keep it down?!' he bellowed.
'Sorry, Perce,' said Bill, grinning......"
